Biography

Kai Qian is an associate at Grant Austin, LLC, focusing his practice on commercial litigation, employment law, and product liability litigation. Kai attended Washington University in St. Louis. In law school, Kai completed an externship at COFCO International in Chicago. He also interned at the Paducah (Public Defender) Trial Office in Paducah, Kentucky. Prior to joining Grant Austin, LLC, Kai gained litigation experience at a Chicago personal injury law firm. Kai is a licensed member of the Illinois Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Education

Kai obtained his Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis in 2024. Prior to law school, he graduated from Ocean University of China and the University of Arizona with a dual degree, a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts, in 2020.
